Medical Hypnosis

Cancer can be a traumatic experience, but hypnosis can be a powerful tool for helping cope with the emotional and psychological aspects of the disease.

Dr. David Spiegel’s study showed that hypnosis can improve the quality of life and even increase their lifespan.

By incorporating hypnosis into cancer treatment plans, healthcare providers can help their patients feel more empowered and in control of their bodies and their treatment.

The study conducted by Dr. Spiegel, demonstrated the benefits of hypnosis for women with breast cancer.

Breast cancer is one of the most common types of cancer that affects women. It can be a life-altering experience, and its impact extends beyond the physical symptoms. The emotional and psychological distress that it causes can be overwhelming.

A study conducted by Dr. David Spiegel at Stanford University found that hypnosis can help improve the quality of life of women with breast cancer and even increase their lifespan.

Dr. David Spiegel is a renowned psychiatrist and researcher who has been studying the effects of hypnosis on patients for over 40 years. In the late 1970s, he conducted a study on women with breast cancer and found that hypnosis helped improve their quality of life.

The study involved 86 women with breast cancer who were randomly assigned to one of three groups: a control group, a group that received group therapy, and a group that received group therapy along with hypnosis.

The hypnosis sessions were conducted once a week for six months, and the women were taught self-hypnosis techniques to help them cope with their symptoms.

The Results

The study found that the women who received hypnosis had a significantly better quality of life than the other two groups. They reported fewer symptoms, such as pain, fatigue, and nausea, and had a better mood and overall sense of well-being.

But what was even more remarkable was that the women who received hypnosis had a higher survival rate. Ten years after the study, the women who had received hypnosis had an average survival rate of 36.6 months, which was twice as long as the control group and 21.7 months longer than the group that received group therapy alone.
